Today’s experiment: hand lettering. Well, for the kanji and hiragana and the large lettering, anyway. Unfortunately, I haven’t discovered a good way of doing thought balloons in gimp, yet; so, that was hand done, too. The letter doesn’t suck (as opposed to the “Tokyo skyline”).
The first run at this way overdid the foreground and background (and the Tokyo Tower, too). I decided for such a chintzy joke, it was going a bit too far. Besides, I would have had to do a more 3D-ish blob. Can’t have that, now, can we?
The Japanese translations are, uh, very loose.
