Okaaaayyyy…. So the artwork is a bit, uh, unusual this time around. And I’m breaking a few rules like 4th wall and unnecessarily overly detailed artwork. I was just playing around with some different effects to see how they work. Rather than rip them out and do something more normal, I thought I’d share the results with the rest of you. Hey, the keyword in the title is “experiments”.
Anyway, the comic’s a bit late. I’m off to make dinner for the crew coming over tonight: my standard repeat of spaghetti I call “copy pasta” (something you all know I’m good at).
Update: changed store name to something more appropriate. (If you don’t understand, just trust me.)
Darn you, prolific stick figures, darn you to heck!
Wait, I thought the keyword was “in”.
And that’s funny, Willis Drug Store. I used to work near Willis.
Well, it certainly isn’t “comics.”
No, it’s not comics, I’m sure it was Willis. Who’d name a town comics, that’s just crazy talk.
*chuckles* followed a link from Twitter to get her…enjoying the comic and am amused by the store 😉
For anyone who doesn’t understand the store reference, David Willis, who does Shortpacked!, is having a minor feud with Jeph Jacques, who does Questionable Content, over use of characters. It is a friendly feud (although you wouldn’t think it from the images that have been flying back and forth between the two). Since I needed a store across the street, the opportunity was too inviting. I’ll have to make it up to David next time I see him (which will probably not be until the next NEWW 🙁 ).
